As the founder of Ten Sports in Dubai, Mr. McDonald led the company to the number 1 position in channel ratings in South Asia from 2002 through his departure in mid – 2009. The company has retained a hold on the market as one of the world’s largest and most successful sports television networks, bolstered in part by Mr. McDonald’s sale of a major stake in the channel to Zee TV in 2006.
Prior to founding Ten Sports, Mr. McDonald was Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales, Strategic Planning and Event Management for ESPN STAR Sports in Singapore and Hong Kong. This position was an extension of his experiences at Morningside Asia, and Computron in Hong Kong. He began his career at Goldman Sachs in New York.
Mr. McDonald graduated with honors from Dartmouth College, and has an MBA from the Wharton Business School.
